WHAT TO EXPECT
GTH reimagines the sport of horse racing for future generations of fans by creating a fast-paced, easy to understand, and hugely entertaining experience – fun for the entire family.
This is a world first where night riders compete in teams which go head to head over four weeks in order to determine the series champion.
The race meetings are fast paced with no more than fifteen minutes between races. The short breaks between races are packed full of thrilling entertainment to keep fans fully engaged.
Team Structure
2022 Live Series
Three teams competed in the inaugural GTH series over August and September 2022 at the Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse in Durban, KZN, South Africa.
Each week two teams raced head-to-head in a thrilling competition under lights. Teams were awarded points based on the placements of their riders in each race. The team with the most points at the end of the night won that round.
Over three weeks teams battled it out for a place in the final which took place on the 2nd of September where the KwaZulu Royals were crowned champions for 2022.
